Hi, I'm Lara.

I'm an artist, designer, and lifelong observer of the natural world —t he founder of Lara Faye Creative House, the creative home for both my fine art and design work.

After spending 25 years in Texas, my husband and I recently relocated to Seattle, WA, where the forests, coastlines, mountains, and rich biodiversity of the Pacific Northwest continue to shape and inspire my work every day. I earned my degree in Visual Art Studies from the University of Texas before spending more than a decade with a nonprofit serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Beginning as an art educator and eventually serving as Operations Director, I learned firsthand that creativity is one of the most powerful ways we connect, communicate, and find meaning.

Today, that belief guides everything I create.

Through Lara Faye Creations, I explore nature's hidden intelligence with watercolor, gouache, and ethically sourced animal bones as my canvas. My work centers on themes of transformation, death and rebirth, resilience, and the beautifully interconnected cycles that sustain life. Inspired by fungi, forests, insects, wildflowers, animals, and the overlooked details of the natural world, I create pieces that celebrate both wonder and impermanence.

Through Lara Faye Design, I help small businesses, artists, and passionate entrepreneurs build intentional brands that feel as authentic as the people behind them. I believe great design is more than something beautiful — it's storytelling, strategy, and creating spaces where people feel seen and remembered.

Whether I'm illustrating the delicate gills of a mushroom, painting new life onto reclaimed bone, or crafting a visual identity for a growing business, my work is rooted in the same philosophy: that beauty can be found in unexpected places, that thoughtful design creates meaningful connection, and that nature has always been our greatest teacher.
