Transformation was created as a visual symbol of growth, rebirth, and the quiet but powerful change that occurs beneath the surface. An albino rabbit and a coral snake—two contrasting, delicate forms—intertwine in a moment of stillness, framed by sprigs of rosemary and heather. Each of these elements has long been tied to themes of evolution, renewal, and transition. In pairing them together, I wanted to capture the beauty of shifting identities and the gentle unraveling of what once was.
The original 12x16 mixed watercolor painting was completed using pen and Daniel Smith watercolors with gouache in the background, painted on cold-pressed Arches watercolor paper.
